About your Stay

This rustic cabin is tucked away on 2 acres on Long Lake. The original log structure dates to 1858 with a new addition built out of repurposed barn wood. Enjoy a quiet retreat or a romantic getaway by the fireplace. Spend some time by the lake enjoying the fresh air and wildlife, or reconnect with family around the table playing games. Our cabin is the perfect place to re-energize and reconnect.

Long Lake is not a commercialized recreational lake. Decent for fishing, canoeing and small fishing boats; not good for big speed boats.

Guests will self check in through keypad. We are available to answer any questions throughout your stay via messaging.

Our cabin is centrally located among quaint towns and beautiful lakes. There is easy access to local shopping and other outdoor recreation.

Litchfield: A town of about 7,000 people with many restaurants, local shopping, and a Wal-Mart (15 minute drive)

Grove City: A small town of about 600 with two excellent restaurants Honkey's Bar and Grill is open daily. (5 minutes)

Willmar: City of about 20,000 with numerous restaurants and local shopping (25 minute drive)

Spicer: Small town on the shore of Green Lake - a wonderful lake for swimming and recreation. (25 minutes)

Minneapolis: Twins baseball games, shopping, and other urban experiences (2 hr drive)

Our cabin is rural, which means there is limited contact with others else unless you choose to go to town. We do have neighbors—but there’s plenty of space and everyone minds their own business.
